Resolved Issue with ORCA API

PowerBuilder 2022

A client is using a custom build tool written in PowerBuilder to build their application exe and pbd files.

The PBD generation is working fine. PBORCA_ExecutableCreate is returning -12 (Link Error) when 64bit is requested. A 32bit request works fine.

The callback error text is just 'Link Error' so we have no clue why it is failing.

Any ideas? This is a very large application.

No, the application is way too large and complex for the IDE. The IDE requires at least an incremental build and it fails.

I don't know what they were doing before I got involved. This was a long time ago. If we can't get it working, I'll suggest they purchase PowerGen.

That's really weird that an IDE compile fails. Can you compile it as a 32 bit App?

What PB version was it last compiled ok with?

They were on 12.5 when I got involved. I'm not sure what they were doing before. They have like 120 libraries and build around 50 different exes with individual sets of custom libraries.

Hi Roland;

  Does the App compile & run ok into a 64 bit EXE if the compile is performed under control of the IDE?
