Resolved Issue connecting to IBM DB2 database

Hello,

AEM is displaying this error message when testing the connection to an IBM DB2 database:

Testing Data Source AS400 failed: No se puede cargar el archivo DLL 'db2app64.dll': No se puede encontrar el módulo especificado. (Excepción de HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

Here the screenshot of the datasource configuration:

The point is that, from another environment on the same machine where Appeon Server is installed, I can successfully connect to this IBM database, without requiring the conflicting DLL. Why does Appeon require the db2app64.dll library?

Hi Miguel,

Which Db2-client (IBM Data Server Client) have you installed ? Please note 64-bit PowerServer require 64-bit Db2-client, and 32-bit PowerServer require 32-bit Db2-client.

It seems you are use 64-bit PowerServer, please try uninstall 32-bit Db2-client and install 64-bit Db2-client.

I was finally able to download and install the IBM DB2 64-Bit client software and the problem was resolved.
