Is there any way to secure a pbl so that only certain users can access it?  We are looking at the possibility of creating an Infomaker report that contains FERPA data.  Since it contains FERPA data, we want to limit the users that can see the report.  Unfortunately, we have no idea how to do that or if it is even possible.  Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

You should contact Jenzabar support about this.

If you want to secure DATA, why not secure it using Database permissions?

I agree. Especially if the report is executing a strored procedure, then limiting access should be simple.

Andreas.

Chris, thank you for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, because of the network drive where the pbls are located, we are not able to do the MS-Windows File Explorer security.

Hi Diane;

  FWIW:  I would just use normal MS-Windows File Explorer folder / file security.

Regards .. Cihris
