Hi

Our Powerbuilder applications look blurry when using Windows DPI scaling setting above 100%, which is necessary for users who run high resolution monitors (4k primarily).

Is native DPI scaling support on the roadmap for Powerbuilder?

Thanks Carl

Hi Carl;

  PB does not currently support DPI scaling. However, check out Allan's tip in this previous post ...

Wasn't there some kind of a manifest file that could be used to deal with the scaling non-100% ?

I found this link, but not the file itself: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/manifest-and-dpi-awareness-using-pfc-classes

If I can find it I'll post it here. Maybe tomorrow...

It won't be on the roadmap, as Powerbuilder already scales independent of DPI - just make sure your units are defined in PBU (Powerbuilder Units).

I suspect your problem is courtesy of Microsoft, which added additional support to scale non-scaleable applications in high-DPI situations.

Google overriding high-DPI behaviour or the HIGHDPIAWARE registry key and see if disabling this fixes your problem.

Hi Carl, This is not currently on the roadmap for the revisions of PB 2022 per the current roadmap: https://www.appeon.com/developers/roadmap#upcoming

Please submit this enhancement request to product@appeon.com

Thanks!
