Hi, we're trying to connect IBM DB2 Version 6.1 to PowerServer2020.

We're referencing the installation guide for PS2020 and while it states that PS2020 can connect to

  • IBM DB2 UDB 8.1, 8.2, 9.5 or 10 with IBM JDBC driver

it doesn't really tells much about DB2 version(6.1) we are actually trying to connect.

Is DB2 Version 6.1 also a valid option for PS2020?

Hi Mason, We have not tested AS400, and the DB driver that PowerServer uses is the one for DB2 UDB. So we cannot tell you if it is valid option. You will need to test very thoroughly yourself.

Hi Mason;

  As you see from the documentation ... only DB/2 version 8.1 or higher.

Regards .. Chris

To elaborate, we're trying to connect 'AS400 DB2 6.1' which is a different product line from IBM DB2 UDB. We couldn't find anything about connecting to AS400 DB2 6.1.
