PowerServer Team -

Our PowerServer 2021 rollout is going good.  A new error appeared today when a client clicked on the URL.  The error appears after the Cloud App Launcher is installed.   The desktop uses Avast for security.  Any thoughts how to fix this.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

I have the same problem with PS2022.
I am trying to deploy my application for the first time with PS2022 and I get the same error with both a remote profile and a local profile.
I attach 2 screenshots.
The same application runs smoothly with PS2021 (on the same test server) and the configurations are similar.

With best regards
Oreste

Hi Oreste,

For the second attachment, the error seems related to the port of the Web API. It tried to access http://localhost/api/Serverapi/CreateSession but failed.

From the console, the application is listening to the http://localhost:443 ports. The 443 port is usually used by HTTPS.

I suggest you specify another port (e.g:5009) for the Web API. Please check the Web API URL setting, build and deploy the application and try again.

Regards, Logan

Hi Mark,

It may be that your Web Server requires the TLS 1.2 protocol, and the client does not support it, causing this problem. You can update the TLS 1.2 protocol on the client to see if it resolves your issue. The reference link is

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3140245/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-a-default-secure-protocols-in

David

Does it also happen when the AV is temporarily deactivated? Could it be a firewall (port not open) problem?

Or ... port 8080 in use by some other program / service on your customer?

Hello Chris -

It is happening for all users in 1 location.  We have over 200 other locations (insurance agent's offices) that use this and this is the first time this error has come up.

The CAL is defaulted to start without a background service.

Sounds like it might be a good idea to open a Support Ticket for this one.

Hi Mark;

Is this only happening for one user, select users or all users?

Also, is the CAL installed as a service or without a service?

Regards ... Chris
