Hello,

I look for a solution on how I can integrate my PB projects with CI/CD (Gitlab). I have a separate server (VM) with Gitlab runner for building and deploying my application. Now I will install PowerBuilder on this server, but I don't know if I need an extra PowerBuilder subscription (license). Is possible to install only build and deploy tools of PowerBuilder without full IDE?

Regards,

Paweł

Hi Paweł;

   Appeon PowerBuilder comes with two external compilers that can be installed separately on your build machine. The PBC compiler was first introduced to perform this separate build function. Newer PB's come with an advanced version of this called the PBAutoBuild compiler. Both of these external compilers do not require any additional license on top of the PB IDE.  HTH

Hi,

After migration to PB2022 I checked that I don't need the deploy configuration file in my main library of the target project. It works. Thank you.
