I have a need for users to access my Appeon PB2017r3 program via IWA Runner.  Several users only able to access my company's web browser via Citrix.  When a user opens my application via the /iwarunner.html switch, they are prompted to install the IWA Runner.  They can do so, but it seems to install the runner in a common area of Citrix.  This has the effect of popping up a new window of my application in the session of the first Citrix user to run the application - instead of in the session of the appropriate user.

is there a special way to install the IWA Runner in Citrix so that each user's profile allows their own instance of the runner in their session?

Hi Paul,

IWA application does not support being launched by multiple users simultaneously via the browser. The main reason is AppeonIWAServer.exe doesn’t support multiple users and it is just a service that listens for requests from IWA applications. When a user attempts to access an IWA application through a browser, a request is sent; and if there’s no answer (AppeonIWAServer.exe is not running), it will be downloaded again.

Please try the steps below to work around the issue.
1 Make sure no user is starting AppeonIWAServer.exe in the task manager.
2 Run IWA application at the first time.
3 End the start AppeonIWAServer.exe in task manager so that other users could access an IWA application through a browser。
Then access the application via shortcut on the desktop to avoid using AppeonIWAServer.exe.

BTW, PowerServer 2021 will support multi-user. You can refer to the following link for more information on PowerServer 2021:
