When our current PowerBuilder app is migrated to the web using PowerServer, is it possible to make code changes directly to the web assembly code or do all modifications have to go through PB 2019 Enterprise? For instance, if I have existing web API calls being used in a separate web application developed in Visual Studio, can these service calls be injected directly into the web structure created by PowerServer?

We haven't started code migration yet, but this question has come up a couple of times from non-PowerBuilder programmers in our office

Thanks in advance for your advise

Regards,

Peter A

Hi Peter;

   FYI:  All development & maintenance activities are still all done through the PB IDE. The PowerServer Toolkit that is installed within the PB IDE (Universal Edition) - will then perform incremental compiles & deployments over to PowerServer to keep your Web / Mobile Apps "in sync" with the native PowerScript code and object definitions.

HTH
