I am stuck trying to set up an Informix Connection in AEM and am failing with message:

Unable to find an entry point named 'InterlockedIncrement' in DLL 'kernel32.dll'

I receive this error on both my workstation and our test server.  I have installed the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the Informix Sdk (version 4.10) .  I have used SetNet32 to set up the Informix environment in both the 32 bit and 64 bit environment.  Powerbuilder versions 2017 and 2019 connect with no issue.  I can connect to Informix using 64 bit ODBC.   I have uninstalled both versions of the Informix SDK, and then reinstalled only the 64 bit version with no improvement. During installations I always selected the .NET components.

I am looking for suggestions.

Thanks

Mark

Hi all,

I went through same issue a while back and this thread was a good starting point:

https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search/view?id=1831

In addition, I had to stick to Ifx client SDK 3.50. Other versions ended up with the error reported by Mark.

Best,

Hi Mark,

We reproduced it with 64-bit clientsdk on 64-bit PowerServer and will do further research to figure it out. We will keep you posted about the progress.

Please temporary using 32-bit PowerServer & 32-bit clientsdk, it is work well on 64-bit Windows on our end.

Regards,
ZhaoKai

Hi Mark

Please note that PowerServer only connects thorough the  "native" Informix DB Client driver that supports IBM's .Net provider as included in the Informix Client SDK.

Please follow these detailed steps to setup an Informix DataSource, as follows:

http://docs.appeon.com/ps2020/server_configuration_guide_for_net/connection_cache_settings_for_informix_native_driver.html

HTH

Regards .. Chris
