We are moving from 12.5 to 2019 in the next couple months and we are doing some testing.

One of the testers is reporting that InfoMaker prompting for migration is inconsistent. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

My understanding of PowerBuilder is that inside the compiled application object is a number which indicates what version of PowerBuilder the object was compiled in. When the workspace is opened, it checks the version number of all the target application objects.

I don't have much InfoMaker experience but it appears that the Library List shown on the File menu is the StyleLib setting in IM.INI. Based on how PB works, I would think that once the application object in the StyleLib library has been migrated, it wouldn't prompt anymore.

Does anyone out there have any insight on InfoMaker that would help?

Hi Roland;

   AFAIK: IM should prompt you every time that you change your default library / Library List and it encounters an older PBL format (indicator in the PBL "header") that then needs migration.
