InfoMaker 2022 Build 1892

Users report that right-clicking on a Form in the library painter and choosing Run/Preview gives them an error. I was able to reproduce and it happens for all forms. This is the message:

---------------------------
Form Database Error
---------------------------
Database transaction information not available.

Call SetTrans or SetTransObject function.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I opened the libraries in PowerBuilder. The window object inherits from w_pbstyle_freeform which has a call to SetTransObject in the open event and the retrieve function.

I'm not an InfoMaker expert so I'm hoping for guidance. I can submit a bug report if needed.

Hi Roland,

IM12.6 has the same behavior. Clicking the toolbar button after opening an object is handled differently from right-click menu Run/Preview.

Clicking the Run toolbar button after the object is open will automatically add a SetTransObject (using the Database Painter’s current connected DB).

But it has not been handled like this when using the right-click menu.

Regards,

Kitty

Hi Roland;

FWIW: Build 1892 was the initial GA release of IM. Since then Appeon has released two key MR's that have addressed various issues. I would like to suggest that you try the latest build (1900) and see if that addresses this anomaly.  HTH

Regards ... Chris

I tested with the recent R2 beta and it still occurs. I will submit a bug.
