Hello Chris,

  I have attached installation steps which i followed for Infomaker 2022 and the same has been installed in user system.

  Can you please confirm that those are the correct installation steps or are we missing something ? if correct then why 2017 PSR files are not loading in 2022 version even if connected to ODBC successfully ?

Regards,

NAidu

HI Naidu;

That install looks correct (with no Demo Database installed).

However, you still need to then A) Define a DB connection and B) Use the OpenWith procedure (that i already posted here in this thread) to change the O/S default IM version opening of PSR files.

Regards ... Chris

PS: Once you remap the PSR=>IM Version as I have shown you in this thread. You can search your Registry for that mapping. Once found, you can then export that mapping as a REG file that you can then give to your IM users. ;-)

Hi Naidu;

  No, this is not a product bug. The O/S has remembered that you wnated to default to IM 2017 Rx and will continue to so so, even if you remove the 2017 version.

  The way to fix that (after any IM version update) is to retrain the O/S by ...

  • Right mouse the PSR file.
  • From the resulting pop-up menu, select the "Open With" menu item.
  • In the next resulting dialog choose IM 2022 and make sure that the "always use this App..." check box is checked!
  • Then the next time that the IM user double-clicks any PSR file, the O/S will launch IM 2022 and the resulting PSR report will appear in that IDE version.

HTH

Regards ... Chris

Hello Chris,

This is actually a bug when moving from 2017 to 2022. After successfull installation when we tried to open old PSR files in 2017 we are not able to open

in either in 2017/2022, before uninstallation we were able to view PSR files in 2017version.

we have installed below exe's from these 2 folders, after that  2017 psr files are not opening in 2017 R3.

1) Are we missing anything related to PowerBuilder runtime versions?

2) Can anyone from your team can join to fix the issues we are facing in user system ?
