Hello and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! The most bizarre thing is happening in my PB. For a custom user object, I inserted a datastore as a non-visual object. It got a default name datastore_1, and I don't seem to be able to rename it! I go to Properties of datastore_1, enter a new name into Name, tab out, and save. The name resets back to datastore_1! I've never seen this happening before... PB2017R3.

Are you running PB "as administrator"? That's another thing you could try.

- Optimize your pbl

- I've tried with pb2017 r3 (latest patch) and with pb2019 R2 beta. None of them seem to have any problem.

- Try to set your layout back to "default".

- Do a "windows > layer".

I know it sounds crazy but I've had so much problems with the IDE not opening in a correct way, giving problems, that I now (since years) always do a "windows > layer" immediately after opening PB when I see it's not showing in the state I saved it the last time. Mostly that happens when switching resolutions or connecting remotely.

Could you show us exactly what you do with a sample? Can you reproduce it with any userobject or is it just ONE particular userobject? (does the dataobject you assigned to the datastore still exist?)

HIH

Hi Konstantin;

   Make sure if the object is under SCC, that you check it out first.

   Also, make sure that your Apps "workspace" area's folders & files are not write protected.

Regards... Chris
