Hi,

We just migrate our PowerBulder SOAP Webesrvices from 12.5 to 2021 (connecting to an Oracle 12 database).

We deployed the MSI file on our IIS server and we moved manualy the content of runtime folder (21.0.0.1509) and DotNet bin folder (located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 21.0\DotNET\bin) to the bin folder ot ou application installation folder into the IIS server.

When we test it, we get an error :

Could not load file or assembly 'Sybase.PowerBuilder.DataSource.Db.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.

This file is present in the bin folder.

Thanks for help,

Silvio

Hi Jesus,

This issue was related to the fact that we not mention the full installation path of the runtime in the environnement variables.

In the end I manage to get this running but found another issue with the sqlselect of the datawindows that was replaced by a kind of a cloud key.

I think this was a regression related to powerserver.

Appeon could reproduce the issue but as soon as SOAP WS is an obsolete functionality, they do not solve the problem for us.

We had to go back to PB 2019R3 to get our SOAP WS up and running.

Best regards,

Silvio

Hi Silvio,

I have the same problem and our friends from Appeon let us alone with this error.

Did you find a solution for this problem?

Thanks.
