I just installed Powerbuidler 2017r3.
Reading the User guide in the chapter '3.3 Using Git source control system' where
referencing the proxy server configuration, makes me ask a question: - Why are there two configurations for the proxy server? (pb.ini and .gitconfig) - when should I configure the first and when the second? - because you have foreseen two configurations. Thanks in advance for the answer. Gimmy

Hi Gimmy,

The .gitconfig was used by the previous release. Now in PowerBuilder 2017 R3, it is integrated in pb.ini so you can put your proxy settings together in the pb.ini file with your other PB related settings.  We recommend that you use the pb.ini file as it is the only option documented in R3 help files. However, your previous proxy settings in .gitconfig should still work fine if you don't feel like changing it at this moment.

Regards,

Tom Jiang
