Resolved IDE crashes in System Options dialog

We are migrating from PB10.5 to PB2017, and one developer in our team has problems getting PB2017 to work. The problem is that the IDE crashes in some dialogs.

One of these is the System Options dialog. The dialog itself opens correctly, but when you switch to the "Java" tab, PB2017 crashes. This is even before any workspace has been opened.

None of the other team members have had this problem. Any suggestions?

Some more details:

  • PB10.5 and PB2017R3 (build 1915, standard edition) are installed.
  • Windows 10.
  • Using Oracle as DBMS, SVN for version control.

Hi Dick;

   Hmmm ... Just a guess .... by chance when you installed some of the Oracle DBMS support on the PB IDE machine, did that also include another copy of the Java VM / SDK (then that what was supplied by the PB IDE installation)?
