Resolved I need a windows SDK .net for Windows version 10

I am trying to create proxies and I am getting the error: Windows SDK for .Net Framework 4.0 was not installed.  Please install it before use this feature.

I searched and I found I have to download:   Download Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center

But when I install that it gives me errors and it doesn't work. Our IT guy said I have to get the Windows 10 version and that is for Windows 7.

Where is there a windows 10 version?  thank you

I used ndp48-devpack.enu.exe  and I get the same error.  Is there a different sdk I should be using?  thank you

FYI: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/windows-sdk

Just download the "Installer" and let it do the SDK installation work.

Hi Dawn;

  Just download the latest W10 SDK. PB needs .Net 4.0 or higher. Thus for W10, you should get .Net 4.8 or higher & that's OK. PB will use the latest 4.x framework. All the SDK does is provide the WSDL compiler for compiling your SOAP .net proxies.

OK. Please note obsolete SOAP client doesn't support TLS 1.2, and also it has been removed from PB 2022 and newer.

If you are trying to call SOAP Web services, it is recommended not to use the obsolete SOAP client and instead use the new HTTPClient.  Here is a tech article: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/articles-blogs/tutorials-articles/2-powerbuilder/236-call-soap-web-services-using-httpclient-object
