the powerserver project setup shows the runtime version.  the upload cloud launcher shows the runtime version.

where do you SET the runtime version?  I need the runtime version to be settable, and i need the IDE runtime version to be different than the powerserver one since the PB runtime version needs to be older.  Is this doable?

Hi Mike;

  Yes .. for PowerClient & PowerServer projects ...

  1. Set the PB runtime you want to use for this PC/PS App in the IDE's System Options dialogue
  2. Open the PC/PS project and accept the runtime version change
  3. Deploy your PC/PS project as required using the older PB runtime.
  4. Open the IDE's System Options dialogue and change the runtime back to the version that what you want to use for the next App(s)

HTH

Regards .. Chris

in other words, you are NOT able to set the runtime version for the builds when using the project for powerserver.

you have to change it the IDE and then remember to change it back each time, correct?

in orcascript for PB builds, you CAN set the version to build with. Powerserver does not provide that option.

Hi Mike, Yes, what you said is correct. In future we plan to enhance so that you can set runtime at each application level, but right now it is at IDE level.

That is great news Armeen!

That would then match the C/S M-Code and P-Code projects as you can set the PBVM version in each project today. ;-)
