Hello.

We are continue checking the IWA software. We have seen that in web browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc), the graphic style is, somehow, modern flat. But in IWA Browsers still has the old 3D graphic style. (I show you it in the attached files)

Since modern flat style is in the strategic plan of our company we show to our mannager the modern flat in web browsers and he said OK to this, but not for the old 3D style in IWA Browser.

We aware the new pretty UI Themes in PB2019, but they doesn't work in powerserver.

What can we do? Is there any property to activate or any workaround for fix this? When new themes will come in powerserver, they will work in IWA?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Juan Pedro Sanz

Hi Oscar,

The Web Application Theme is Browser-Based Apps Only. This setting only takes effect on applications that run on Web browsers. If an application runs as IWA (Installable Web Application) , it adopts the user interface theme of the underlying operating system.

Hi, Zhao

It sounds reasonable, but in the case stated I work with Windows 10, so it must be flat style then: even thought the same applicaction I show you, in client-server model, has this flat style.(attached)

There must be any property that force IWA to adopt this 3D style or the develoment of IWA was in this style and then, there will be no way....

Hi Juan,

We don't have a feasible workaround for this currently. But we will record it as a requirement in our CR pool, I will get back to you once we have a plan to support this feature.

the problem seems 'limited' to dwo controls. in my app i see dw objects having the old 3d style, but other controls such as buttons have the theme of the OS (flat in windows 10). of course most apps are made up mostly of datawindows, so it isn't that limited....
