Resolved ExportJson and ImportJSon not wokring with Powerserver toolkit

Hi All,

 

we are trying to use ExportJson and ImportJSon function of DW to save result of rest service in DW but when its not showing in PowerServer toolkit while deploying application to web.

as per latest Appeon document JSONClient is supported with PowerServer 2019 

did anyone aware about similar issue ?

Hi Pinkesh Gupta,

 

The DataWindow methods ExportJson, ImportJson and ImportJsonByKey on PowerServer Web/Mobile are currently NOT Supported (see here and here). 

The current support (PowerServer 2019) for RESTful Web Services is as follows:

  • HTTPClient object: supported by both PowerServer Web and PowerServer Mobile (HTTPClient does not support SSL 2.0 for PowerServer Mobile)

  • JSONGenerator object: supported by PowerServer Web only

  • JSONParser object: supported by PowerServer Web only

  • RESTClient object: supported by PowerServer Web only (RESTClient does not support DataWindowChild and OAuth 2.0)

Do you know when new version of PowerServer is planned as we would like to use PB 2019 Rest Capabilities ASAP with PS in our project

Hi Pinkesh;

There is no specific release date yet for PS2019R2. My *guess* is sometime in Q4 2019. Stay tuned from more specifics information later this summer / early fall.
