Hi David,

We plan to support .NET 8 in the next PB2022 R3 MR version.

If all goes well, it should be in September.

Best Regards,

Peter

Thanks Peter,

The release notes mention SnapDevelop has not been upgraded to support .NET 8 and suggests using Visual Studio.

If I try to open SnapDevelop from PowerBuilder I get a message referring to a web site from DevMagic.

What is your recommendation ?

Hi David,

Yes, that's expected.
Open C# Solution in SnapDevelop in the PB2022 R3 3391 IDE is as follows:
1. Target framework: .NET 6.0 will try to open using SnapDevelop 2022 R3;
2. Target framework: .NET 8.0 will try to open using SnapDevelop 2025 (soon to be released).

Best Regards,
Peter

Basically it's the support in PB for .net core 8... https://docs.appeon.com/pb/release_bulletin_for_pb/Build-3391-Upgrade_Notes.html

Also powerserver has an updated api from what I've seen... Don't know if it's bug fixes or other changes.

Andreas.
