Hi All!

I installed PB2022, after opening the workspace, when I click to open pbl, it exits without an error message. Tried uninstall-reinstall but same error. Win11 ver:21H2 - 64bit, Intel i5-12400F.
What might be the problem? PB2017, 2019, 2021 ok, no problem.

Thanks

Hi Laszlo,

 This might be the same problem as bug 9047. Please follow the steps below for verification:

  1. Download the attachment and unzip it.
  2. Back up your original DLL in C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 22.0\IDE
  3. Copy the PBLIB.dll in the attachment to C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 22.0\IDE and overwrite the original one.
  4. Open PB IDE and full build your application and test it to see if the issue is solved.

Regards,

Ken

Hi Laszio;

 What happens if you create a new simple app like a "hello world" ... Does the IDE still crash?

Yes. I created the new "tempapp" workspace, and new target. The error is the same. Clicking on tempapp.pbl exits without an error message.

Hi Laszlo;

In that case, I would open a Support Case for this IDE crashing issue.

BTW: Any other PB developers in your shop have this problem?

I have attached the contents of the tempapp folder in case it helps you identify the problem.

Hi Laszlo;

Thank you for the Test Case!

FWIW: I can open & use this PB App via the PB 2022 IDE on either W10 & W11 O/S's with no issues or stability problems.

FYI: I am using W11 version 21H2 build 22000.1042

Q: Do you run the PB IDE in Admin Mode?

Regards ... Chris
