Powerserver 2021 beta:

Oracle 19c.

When trying to deploy my PS project, I'm getting this error message for just about every datawindow object:

Error: Not find database schema provider

What's missing?

TIA

After having opened a ticket the problem has been resolved:

https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search/view?id=6241

The problem seems to be caused by having more than one target assigned to the workspace.

Thank you Chris and ZhaoKai!

Hi Miguel;

During a PS2021 deployment, the DBMS / DB as set in the PS Project is used to verify the DWO and in-line SQL against that DB instance. If the DB settings in the PS Project are pointing to another DB instance that uses a different schema - errors like you mention would be the case.

Also, it could be related to the UserID / Password you are using in the PS Project that may not have the read access privileges to the Tables / SPs, / Views, etc that the PS Deployment needs to verify your DB entities.   HTH

Regards ... Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you.

This is a newly created DB by one of my colleagues, so you might be right that some permission or similar is missing. I've been looking into it, and even though I can connect, something seems to be missing at user levels.

I've run al the 'closing processes' we usually have to run, but I still cannot run as a specific user, even when running classic pb.

I'll talk to them tomorrow.

Well, I've managed to get all permission right and now I can run the app successfully from 'normal' powerbuilder. Still getting the same error message. Have tried to experiment with "delimit identifiers" etc. No luck.

Next step: install oracle 19 client (right now I'm using 12c client).

Will respond if any success, if not I'll open up a ticket.

Cheers
