Sir/Medom

How are you?

I am developing desktop applications in Powerbuilder since last 15 years. and Last I am working in PowerBuilder 10.5 and working smoothly and enjoying well.

But now I was happy to hear about PowerBuilder 2019 by Appeon.

I have installed Powerbuilder 2019 and SQL Anywhere 12 database.

 I have created ODBC 64 bit for the SQL Anywhere 12 database and ODBC is connecting properly

but in Powerbuilder 2019 DB Profile is not connecting.

Please check my attached file.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Muhammed;

  I would like to suggest that you to install both the 32bit and 64bit SA DB Client drivers for ODBC. While the IDE requires the 32bit ODBC driver when you run your App from there, you can now also build 64bit Apps from PB 2019. So those 64bit EXE's would then require the 64bit ODBC drivers.

Hi Muhammad,

All powerbuilder IDE's (including 10.5) are 32 bit ONLY.

Therefore you cannot connect to a 64 bit ODBC profile in any Powerbuilder version. You have to create a 32 bit ODBC profile.

Hope it helps.
