We are currently using PB2017 R3 build 18180 and in the process of upgrading to PowerBuilder 2022. The plan is to complete the upgrade before the EOL date.

The EOL policy on Appeon website (as of today) states that the EOL date for PowerBuilder 2017 R3 is 2025.07.31

This morning I received an email from Appeon stating that PowerBuilder 2017 has reached its end-of-life (EOL).

Has the EOL date for PowerBuilder 2017 R3 changed from 2025.07.31 ?

Henry

Hi Henry;

  Yes, that date is still the EOL date but EOMM was on 2023.07.31

FYI: https://www.appeon.com/update

  What this means though is that after EOMM, no fixes or patches would be forthcoming and any support is "paid" only until the EOL date ...

https://www.appeon.com/products/eol-policy.html

  Note though that even though there is "paid" support after EOMM, that means that Appeon Support will try their best to give you a workaround with no promises of a fix to your problem.

HTH

Regards .. Chris

So then the email was incorrect, or it didn't mention EOL. :)

Hi,

My guess is that this is another documentation error on https://www.appeon.com/developers/end-life-notice-pb-im-2017r3.html

Please send an email to support@appeon.com to get some clarification.

regards.
