PowerServer 2022 question;

What is the best practice method for managing userid's and encrypted passwords when deploying an existing Client Server application to PowerServer 2022?

Users need to have separate userid's and passwords for each environment. Dev, Staging, Prod etc..

Thank you.

Hi David;

  To make sure that your current C/S App UserID's and Passwords are being used the same way in a PS deployed App, please make sure that the following is set (checked) in your PS Project, as follows (for example):

HTH

You could follow whatever approach has been working for you today in client/server mode.  In PowerServer, you just need to enable these two options and then the DB connection is basically emulating client/server:

LongConnection: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022r2/Enabling_long_connections.html

LogID/LogPass: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022r2/Using_LogID_and_LogPass_properties.html
