Resolved Enable initalization erorr

Hello ,

 

We are using PB 2021 and Enable 2019 for translations.

Today we start getting erorr -18, Enable initalization failed  with code -18.

We could not get answer from Enable company, so I am asking here if anyone knows what could be reason for that?

Hi MiguelL,

 

just got response from Enable (Luca). Erorr -18 means that translation database was build with trial version of Enable which ended yesterday.

 

I hope Enable will send me full version of Enable as soon as possible , which we bought and my problem will go away.

Does Enable 2019 fail with earlier powerbuilder versions?

Maybe Enable 2019 simply needs to be adapted for pb 2021?

Miguel gives good advice. Are they not helping you because you didn't pay the annual support/maintenance fees?

Hi Tomaz,

Your first problem is that Enable doesn't seem to give you support?

Secondly, have you checked on your windows event viewer errors? Maybe it can point you to where the problem originates from.

Lastly, maybe you can get some more information when activating a TRACE on your database connection, but of course I don't know if this has anything to do with a database connection.

This -18 error does ring a far away bell though.
