Hi All,

I have modified some behaviour in a custom "theme.json".

When it comes to groupboxes, this custom behaviour is working fine on windows but it doesn't seem to be working in datawindows.

Attached is my "theme.json".

PB2019 R2 Build 2323

Any clue ?

Best regards.

Hi Julián;

Thank you for the test case. Yes, I see the "dwo-groupbox" settings and they seem OK to me. Yet, they do not apply properly (or are ignored) in PB2019R2 like the same settings used on the GB control. Please open a Support Ticket for this issue.

Are you using expression or modify to control the visuals of your DataWindows?  Once a theme is applied, the UI of the DataWindow is first determined by the expression or the Modify method, and then by the theme.json file; except for border and resizable settings which are first determined by the setting in the PowerBuilder IDE, and thenby the theme.json file.  You can refer to the following link for detail.

Hi Armeen.

No expression nor modify. Just a simple groupbox inside a DW.

See my "pruebas.zip" attached here. I will update this reply with a screenshot where you can see this.

No matter what setting I choose in the groupbox inside the DW, the border color specified in the json file is ignored. It works fine in the groupbox placed inside a window.

Regardds.

Hi Julián;

   It's pretty hard to advise you on this as we would need to know the specifics of what you modified in order to diagnose this further.

PS: Please apply the "emergency" MR build 2328 ASAP.

Regards ... Chris

Hi Chris,

I just installed MR build 2328 and the issue still persist.

I will upload a very simple example in a separate response. My fear is that my custom theme.json has a bad or incorrect syntax, that's why I didn't submit a case until now.

Please tell me what you think.

Yes, 2328 just fixes a few other key issues but not any Theme issues.

Make sure though that your using an R2 Theme.json file as the GA or Beta R2 ones are not compatible.

Hi Chris,

Yes, I'm using a json file copied from one thme in the "Shared\PowerBuilder\theme190" folder of my PB2019 R2 installation.

Last night I uploaded here a file called"pruebas.zip" where you can find a very simple app reproducing this issue.

Thanks for all your help.
