Hi all,

we try to get data into a DataWindow over stored procedures. Further, we also want to be able to save the data via stored proc. The dialog for the first generation of the DataWindows Objects, where the procedures can be selected, does not show all packages/procedures. The dialog where you can select the procedures for the update/insert/delete shows a larger list. We looked at the grants in the database. We changed the DBProfile settings, but that helps only partially.

Are there other settings that can be made to influence this list? Or are there other aspects we should consider?

We are on: PowerBuilder 2017 R3, Oracle 12g.

TIA.

Hi Gzim;

  Normally, the SP/SF's that you can see is tied to the DB privileges that your DBMS Login ID has been granted by your DBA. I would check with the DBA team and see what they say.  HTH

TY Chris. In addition to the privileges, it was necessary that the procedure also required a record type (in out) as the last parameter.

BTW: It is so sad that the old News Group posts from PowerBuilder / DataWindow can no longer be found. I'm sure something like that has been answered there several times...
