Hi Guys,

I have defined an EditMask control on a window with a MaskData type of DateMask! and a Mask of dd.mm.yyyy.

I have also specified a DropDown Calendar for the control.

When I run the window and use the DropDown Calendar to select a date, the date is returned to the EditMask in the American format (mm.dd.yyyy).

Is there a way to change this behaviour and have the DropDown Calendar return the date in the European format?

Regards,

Michael Connell.

P.S. In the completed application I switched the EditMask for a DatePicker control, so I'm asking this question purely out of curiosity.

Greeting, Michael -

What is the date format set to in Windows (in Windows 10, look at: Settings > Time & Language > Region)?

I seem to recall that EditMask picks up and uses the date format from Windows.

Best regards, John

John,

Thanks for your reply. Windows settings are:

Country or region: Norway

Current format English (United Kingdom)

Short date: 20/03/2023

Does it matter that the Windows date format is English (dd/mm/yyyy) whilst I have used the Norwegian format (dd.mm.yyyy) for the EditMask? Both are after all European: Day, month, year.

Regards,

Michael Connell.

I do not know if it matters. What version/release/build of PB are you using? If no one else responds to your question, I suggest you open a bug report:

Note: It really helps if you can attach a small test case to a bug report that demonstrates the issue.
