Hi Prasanth ;

  FYI: I worked with PB2021 build 1311 all weekend with the new W11 O/S (unofficially supported at this time). That included my STD framework, P-Code, M-Code, 32bit, 64bit, Native EXE's, PowerClient & PowerServer based applications. I could not find any IDE, Execution, PowerServer, or SnapDevelop IDE issues (thus far). What I did find nice was the PB App's: Better RB, CB & scrollbar, etc look & feel (see below) and improved App associated sounds.

  Note: the Windows "Notification" area worked 100% as well driven from my framework. The only very minor issue was the App reporting that it was running under W10 instead of W11.

Regards .... Chris

Follow up ... The framework reporting W10 instead of W11 is not the fault of the PB code. It turns out to be a Microsoft issue as they did not change the KERNEL32.dll signature to match the W11 O/S. This is documented in the MS forums. ;-)

Will it be ok if we install windows 11 and can use Appeon Powerbuilder R3 - executables without any issue.

What impact are we looking forward that might be an issue with upgrade?

I mean some controls / objects which might get impacted and there are any chances of we running into some issue.

I can’t tell you this information because we have not tested PB 2019 R3 on Windows 11. If we had tested it and everything works we would claim that Windows 11 is supported. So if you want to use Windows 11 now, you will need to test carefully and understand there is some potential risk.

Generally speaking, any version already released is not modified to support different environment... we just fix bugs. Windows 11 support is planned for PowerBuilder 2022.
