H Guys,

Can you please provide support on below query.

Does Appeon 2022 support TLS1.3?

When I configure ONLY TLS3 on client machine and on DB server both TLS and TLS3 is configured. Native Client 12 is installed on Client Machine.

on Making Profile, below issue occurs. I want to run Application on TLS1.3.

When moving from Native Client 11 to MSOLEDBSQL 19, I did some testing of secure connection.

In my case, we have to specify the full network name of the database server. As others have mentioned, the database server must be configured correctly as well.

Take a look at this.  It walks you through what you need to do, including a certificate

You are missing bullet #3... "TDS 8.0 must be enabled and certificate must be configured."

All those requirements (3 bullets in documentation) must be met.

Andreas.

AS mentioned in below screenshot.

  • MSOLEDBSQL SQL Server is required. (where client machine or DB server machine?)

  • MSOLEDBSQL version must be 19.2.0 or higher (MSOLEDBSQL19 must be selected as Provider in the database profile). ( on Clinet machine?)

Hi.

This seems to be an issue related to SQL Server configuration... Don't know if this is the same but take a look at the following discussion:

SQL connection open failed when using MS OLE DB Driver 19 for SQL Server - Microsoft Q&A

Anyway, I would have the DBA look on what should be done in SQL Server to use TLS 1.3.

Andreas.

Hi.

Yes. It is supported when connecting to SQL Server, but you have to use MSOLEDBSQL v. 19.2.0 or higher. Also this is supported in SQL Server 2022 version 16.0.4025.1 or higher. Take a look at the following link: Supporting TLS 1.3 - - Connecting to Your Database (appeon.com)

Andreas.
