ive been searching for more info on docking windows under the mdi frame. It is my understanding that there was an example project that came with pb2017. Is there a way I can get this. We are already on 2023.

all im trying to do is have two windows, one docked left and one docked right, split in the middle. I cant get it to work as the first window always fills up the screen.

not sure if theres way to split the screen without manually setting the widths. In which case its not really properly docked

Hi Erwin;

  The dock able Window feature was deprecated in PB 2017. You could still use it even with that warning up to PB 2021. I've found though that this feature stopped working altogether for me in PB 2022 R3. However since PB 2017, we shouldn't be using it according to the PB documentation. HTH

Sybase added this feature in PB 12.6 but never really completed it as a "full" well rounded feature. So yes, it was a bit tough to get it to work as well.

I added support for this to my STD Framework in the PB 12,6 time frame and with that extra help it made the DockAble window feature much easier to use developer wise and provided the missing functionality to make it robust (IMHO). However the framework's support for that feature stopped working in PB 2023 R3 when the Tabbed View feature was added and Appeon switched to using VC++ 2022 for the IDE & runtime vs VC++ 2010 used in lower PB releases. So even in R3 Beta testing I knew that it was now totally broken.
