Hello Team,

We are trying to renew the Powerbuilder licenses(2019R2). For some our team members, It is Powerbuilder Standard. For some, it is powerbuilder professional. Could you please help me to understand what are the major differences between the two [PowerBuilder Standard  Bundle and PowerBuilder Professional Bundle]

Thank you so much in advance!

Hello, Dhanya -

There is no bundle named "Standard". Maybe the following URL will help you differentiate between the CloudPro and Professional bundles:

Hi Dhanya ;

  The Standard edition has been deprecated.  Here were the supported features in PB2017=>2019 (basically, only Client Server), as follows:

Features Standard Edition
Desktop client/server targets Yes
Mobile deployment No
Web deployment No
.NET Web service targets (obsolete) No
.NET Assembly targets (obsolete) No
C# Core Web API targets No
C# Assembly targets No

  John's link describes the new Professional edition's features - which is much more robust than the Standard edition.

HTH

Regards .. Chris

If you are doing traditional client/server development only (e.g. not creating Web services), the only difference between the two is the Professional Edition supports PowerClient deployment method: https://www.appeon.com/products/power-client
