if auto complete mode is on, it should show the list without forcing the user to click on the arrow.  maybe this is optional, but this is how i have my version built.

also, the drop down list should show if the user presses the down arrow button rather than force them to move their hand to the mouse to click the down arrow key.  that probably doesn't have anything to do with autocomplete mode, but i've done a lot of UI work in my version and i implemented it that way.

PB Migration with ORCA doesn't update AppRuntimeVe...

I encourage Appeon to make this potential enhancement configurable,. While I understand and can appreciate the rationale behind Mike's suggestion, our 20+ year-old application does not work this way and our customers would be confused and/or annoyed by the proposed change in behavior.

Just started using the autocomplete mode (3) of the dddw's and agree with Mike that its a little annoying that you have to click on the arrow itself to drop down the list rather than being able to click anywhere on the dddw control to get the list to dropdown (like it does when you don't have the 'allow editing' attribute turned on. It confuses users when dropdowns behave differently.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion! We will record it as a new enhancement/requirement request and will transfer it to our product team for consideration.

As Miguel mentioned, please use Alt+down/up arrow to expand the dddw, and you use use Alt+down/up arrow to close the dddw too.
