I assumed connect timeout is the number of seconds to timeout waiting for the connection to occur.  The text says it is actually a true/false value on whether to use  asynchronous functionality of .net?!

this is the documentation (such as it is) link:

Configure the database connection in the Database Configuration dialog - - PowerServer 2022 Help (appeon.com)

Hi Mike,

Thank you for reporting this question. The current description of Connect Timeout is incorrect. Sorry for the trouble caused. It should actually describe it as ”The length of time (in seconds) to wait for a connection to the server before terminating the attempt and generating an error.” We plan to fix this problem in PowerServer 2022 R2.

Regards,

David

I hope the help is updated too, it does not include these options. The outer join syntax for example - what does it mean that it is gray, and what is its default value?

One of the reasons i was asking about it is that being able to turn on/off the asynchronous functionality of .net data provider  seems to be the functionality i am needing to prevent an error that occurs on some reports.   I sent a bug report up the other day about it.

anyway, it appears that someone was thinking of having this as a db option, removed it, and has the default set to true?
