Hello friends:

Recently we have migrated to powerserver 2020

In our mobile apps, datawindows seem don’t work: There is no object, and when you touch them, the app turns off. Has anyone had any problem like this? ther was any workaround?

Thanks for your help.

Regards.

Hello, friend.

Finally I could install the mobile application.

We realized that the template .zip in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerServer 2019\Toolkit\TemplateCache\12.0.2323.00

was empty so we reinstaled toolkit, and everything went fine.

Datawindows work OK.

Now we have performance issues, but I don' know what can be.

Anyway, thanks for your help!!!

Hi Juan,

Do you get this issue on Android or iOS? Please try full deploy application and please make sure you had upgrade Appeon Workspace on device.

Do you use Appeon Workspace in Apple store? Please note that it supports PowerServer 2019 but not PowerServer 2020.

Due to the restrictions of the app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play), publishing Appeon Workspace to App Store is not supported anymore. We recommend that you create a customized version of Appeon Workspace and distribute it on PowerServer or your own Web site.

If you want to get a sense of how Appeon Workspace works before distributing it on your own server/website, or perform a quick test of your mobile apps in Appeon Workspace, follow the instructions at https://demo.appeon.com/powerserver/test_appeonworkspace to try out the demo version of Appeon Workspace.

Thanks, ZhaoKai

it seems clear that the problem is related to templates. I don't know what templates are. Are the they the applications profiles?

Also, i have to say that we have done an instalation of PowerBuilder 2009 R2 in other PC from scratch. I have imported only a mobile profile from the PowerBuilder 2009, and it fails that way. Also, I have created another mobile application profile from scratch, but fails whit the same error too.

what are these templates?

I Saw this directories

C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerServer 2019\Toolkit\Template

that is empty (I have seen in my PC with release 1, that is full)

And also these other directories

C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerServer 2019\Toolkit\TemplateCache\12.0.2323.00

with a template.zip

And

C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerServer 2019\Toolkit\TemplateCache\8.x.xxxx.xx

with template.zip too.

In this context, have i to migrate any template? how can i do it?

Thanks for your kind help.

HI,

1 The latest Toolkit is Toolkit 2020 build 2323 but not 2328, please check it.

2 Please go to Toolkit > Configure > Server profiles > PowerServer to make sure you had connect to correct PowerServer.

Hello Chris:

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have paid attention to you and I have installed PowerBuilder 2328 (With toolkit 2328) and powerserver pb edition in another PC. But every time I try to - perform a full build & re-deploy to PS2020, I get this message:

18:22:12 Failed to unzip the deploy template file (template.zip). Error code: 1

what can I do?

Thanks

Regardas

Did you update your PS template(s) in your PS Toolkit under the PB IDE?

Hi Juan;

FWIW: All my Web & Mobile Apps under PS2020 are working very well.

However, did you ...

1) Upgrade your PS Toolkit to build 2328?

2) Upgrade your mobile templates to build 2328?

Note: After #1 and/or #2 update - perform a full build & re-deploy to PS2020?

Regards ... Chris
