Hi all,

I know the solution is simple, but i can't find / remember it anymore.

i have had an application working great at a customer. After a few months customer asked me to change some minor things. Suddenly all his datawindows are retrieving only 36 or 37 records ?  Even though there are thousands of records in the database. When i ask for the rowcount in the retrieve end , i end up having 36 or 37 ...

Any idea what caused this please ? We didnt migrate or anything , same old same old PB installation...

TIA

John

Maybe you have the Retrieve Options Rows As Needed turn On.

Help to know a bit more about the software environment.  What version of PowerBuilder are you using?  What database are you working with?

I know one version of PowerBuilder had an issue when columns in Oracle were resized to a higher length than the datawindow had originally been created based on.  When any data came in with a longer length in any of those columns than the column could handle, the retrieve would suddenly stop.  No error message or other indication what the problem was.
