Hello,
I'm currently working with PowerBuilder version 2019 R3 and I need to insert a Datamatrix into an existing Datawindow.
What is the easiest way to do this?
Thanks for your help

Hi Jean-Louis;

  I would imagine that you need a 3rd party product that takes a Datamatrix data set & creates an "image" of that - that you can then insert into your PB App as a picture.

For example: https://barcodes.pro/generator/dmtx

Regards ... Chris

Hi Chris,

In fact, I would like to be able to generate the datamatrix in the datawindow from data present in this same datawindow.

Sounds like you might either need a lot f PowerScripting and / or ... find a 3rd party DLL or C# routine to do that. Then you can just "plug in" those external "helper(s)" to your PB App & call them passing in the DWO data.

PS: There may also be a DataMatrix web service too that you can call from PB using the HTTPClient object to pass in your DWO data (probably as an array) and then get a DM Blob image back. ;-)

Currently, this DataWindow is used to generate a weighing recipe label. Adding a Datamatrix will be useful for a future supervision application. This label will then be badged by manufacturing operators.
