Hi there,

Powerbuilder 2019 Build 2082 Suddenly I can't create a new function or duplicate a function.

I tested in different windows and different projects.

What do we have to do?

Exactly, I knew it rang a far away bell: https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/track/view?id=491

Hi Chris / Govinda

So I tried something else:
I've been able to "fix" it on my failing computer at work:
- I closed the window that showed up wrongly by using the close box
- I than did the good old trick of "View > Layouts > (Default)" and tried again.

Everything works now.

We can close this issue as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks!
MiguelL

As said before, choosing the default layout should do the trick, hope it does.

To be fair: Roland's advice to edit the registry will probably also fix the problem. Didn't read his answer until now...

This rings a far away bell... not sure but you can try it:

Go to the menu "View > Layout " and choose "Default". See if it then works.

Sorry if that's not doing the trick.

Try deleting this registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\19.0\Layout

Try this:

  1. Select any existing system function in that class (double-click on some function in the Function List panel)
  2. Right click in the header panel of script editor and select New Function

Sometimes add event or add function from the list panels brings up "disabled" editor.
