Hi all,

I have to create a communication with a external hardware. The only information I got from our client is an hex example

00 01 30 00 E4 45

00 01 30 01 01 A3 E5

polynomal generator: A001

offset: FFFF

The bold letters are the crc16 checksum

Is there a way in PB to count a crc16 checksum?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Martin

I don't know such function in Powerbuilder.

Maybe you find an external DLL.

Or you try to rewrite this VB code in Powerscript: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b752b557-6d0c-443e-ab5e-05289b20a189/crc16-value-calculation?forum=vbgeneral
