Hi,

I'm trying to connect PB to GitLab repository, but failing with error "Cannot connect to the repository. Please make sure you have specified the correct user ID and password".

Which I think as I can log into GitLab using a browser using those credentials.

We don't use - as far as I know - any SSL in connections to the GitLab. That said, I did download a GitLab certificate as suggested in one previous post, but that didn't change anything. Neither do we use 2FA.

Does someone in the forum have a working connection the GitLab using the PB IDE who could help me here?

Thanks,
kari

Hi Kari,

We have been using Gitlab with PowerBuilder for 6 years.

Does a simple clone via e.g. TortoiseGit work without the error message?
We generally clone outside the IDE with TortoiseGit or SourceTree. After the clone, the workspace can be opened via PB.

Do you use GitLab.com SaaS or a self-managed instance?

Regards Tobi
