Has anyone connected their PB application to an AWS Aurora database (using PB 2022 R3)?  If so, what did you use to connect? ODBC? something else?

Thanks!

Used ODBC to connect.  Tested both the Open Source and Devart drivers without issue.  If you have the AWS access to the Aurora DB you just use the url/port just like any other.  Set up a System DNS entry and used that in my PB db connection and application transaction object.

I had never heard of it so I did a search. Aurora is Amazon customized versions of MySQL and PostgreSQL.

They have special JDBC based drivers that you can use to connect:

Thanks Roland, I saw that same post. Wondering if PB dropping support for JDBC in 2022 would affect this? Anyway, my AWS contact says that ODBC Postgres drivers can be used with an Aurora endpoint so I'm counting on his knowledge (he did a quick connect application proof of concept). I will post the information later once I am further along.
