The total number of PBLs in the project source currently in use is 44 and the capacity is 481M.
The capacity is about 2~10M per PBL. AFTER FULL COMPILE
PBL individual incremental compilation takes about 7 to 10 minutes.
Is it normal for compilation speed to take this much?

Hi,

The compilation speed depends on a lot of things. Of course the hardware (CPU, drive speed) is one of this.

Importand is also the class hierarchy. A lot of involvend classes with a deep hierarchy may need more time to compile if PB needs also to compile ancestors.

So the short answer is: It depends on ... ;-)

BTW: Appeon plans to change the compilation process to make it much faster.

Regards, René

Correct René, PB 2025 will have a completely new WorkSpace (Solution), Source code storage & Ultrafast compiler.

You can view these features in action by viewing the Elevate 2023 "Key Note" presentation... https://www.appeon.com/elevate
