We are having multiple desktop applications with common libraries and working on experiments for cloud deployment by using PowerServer.

Our observation was the common libraries files also copied to individual application folders respectively and not on single common location.

Is there any way to deploy common code in one single place and refer it from the cloud deployed application to prevent duplicate files at client area?

refer the attached pdf for screenshots.

 Thanks in advance!

drive space is too cheap to bother with trying to get something like that to work.  shared pbd is pretty much the PB version of 'dll hell'

Hi.

I don't believe that PowerClient & PowerServer where designed to support that.

Andreas.

Hi Andreas;

You are correct - the current deployment design for PC & PS Apps does not support this.

Currently, you MUST have all your related PBLs in the same folder as the PC/PS App's Workspace/Target or any in combination of sub-folders thereof.

As per the suggestion we are adding all related PBLs to the same folder and creating the build for individual apps.

Thanks,
