I had to have Windows 10 reinstalled on my main computer because of a virus.  I had PowerBuilder 2017 R3 installed on the computer.  I may have left PB logged in to the server when I closed the computer.  I have an online licence.

Currently I am using another computer while the attacked computer is being repaired.

I forgot the fresh installation method for PowerBuilder and downloaded a trial version using my account.  I eventually found the files to install PowerBuilder 2017 R3 and installed the program.

When I try to run PowerBuilder 2017 R3 I am told, "The account is already logged in to PowerBuilder. Please use another account.  One account cannot log in to trial and paid versions at the same time."  Is there any way I can log out of (close the connection) PowerBuilder without connection from the original computer?  If so how do I do it?

David

Hi,

Go to appeon.com and log in with your user.

Then click on the blue and white little user-icon and then on "user center" (see capture.png).

After that go to "Licence management" > "Powerbuilder IDE" > "Logout user". (see capture2.png).

You should then see your user and on the right there's a "logout" link you can click.

regards,

MiguelL

Note: there's a similar menu for "powerserver" too.

@Roland, individuals cannot log off their license through the license portal - only license admins can do this. Please trust us... we are the ones who designed this system. But of course, individuals can go back to the PB IDE and log themselves out there.

@Miguel, someone in your organization has made you the license administrator. We are not listing the name of that someone here for data privacy reasons.

If I trust you, and I do, that means the user center shows incorrectly the administrators. Maybe it only shows the "main" admin?

Okay, now I've read it. Sorry very small screen. "License Administrator

If you has placed one or more orders for Appeon products (you are the order owner), although your name does not display on this page, you are the default license administrator for the products in your order. "

pfff ... I apologize, but this is very non intuitive. (like having to read the text :)

So I'm a / the licence administrator, but the user center doesn't show that. The person listed as admin is not me. I'll take your word for it.

Thanks for clearing it up,

regards,

Miguel

Good point... we'll consider to enhance this. Yes, besides the super admin there can be additional license admins and you are one of them.
