Resolved Change font size in PB IDE

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the size of the font that PB IDE is using in its main and popup menus, dialog windows (e.g. any Options window, any window in the datawindow painter like Filter, Sort, Update properties, etc, etc), and debugger. Changing System Font does not affect them, they always use something that looks like 8pt.

Hi Konstantin,

In addition to John's suggestion there are also settings under Ease of Access which will allow you to change the font size. While it works a bit better than scaling as I know what you mean about the potential for blurriness, I don't believe that it will apply to all the areas (EG menus) which you identified in your initial post...but maybe it's worth a shot. Unfortunately for some of the windows, while it works on the title of the window, the contents of the window remain unchanged.

Since Appeon is working on IDE changes (I think for PB 2022) you might wish to consider entering this as an IDE enhancement request.

  I solved that ... I went to dual 32" monitors. I can now read the PB IDE from 10' away - even in super high density mode. LOL!

Hi, Konstantin - 

Have you tried increasing the Display scale (normally 100%) to 125%, for example. FYI - There may be some side effects of changing the display scale, as this affects all of Windows.. You can change this value via the Windows start menu -> Settings -> System -> Display, under "Scale and layout".

Hi John! Thanks! Yes I have, but that makes text in PB IDE blurred and the font does not get large enough anyway...

OK, it seems like no one knows or this is impossible. My problem is that with higher screen resolutions text in many parts of PB IDE is so small that it is hardly readable. Trying to increase the font size using Windows settings does not help because it makes PB IDE look blurred. I cannot believe that I am the only one struggling with this. Could you please tell me your solutions? Are there any plans for PB IDE improvement?
