I have migrated my 10.5 PB apps to 2019 and all seems to be working ok. I want to add a new library to a couple of the apps. One worked ok - right clicked on the Target selected Properties and added in the library. When I now try the second application the properties window for that Target does not open - or more accurately it is not visible as I cannot do anything else on PB (modal window open but not visible). So I have to use Task manager to kill the app. Same thing now happens if I go back and retry the first Target.

I can right click on the Workspace and select properties successfully and can also open other modal windows. I can edit the target file and update the list there but it is annoying and shouldnt be happening.

any help appreciated

Thanks

John

Hi John;

   Normally, this only happens when a) the Target / Workspace resides in a folder that is write protected (including the Target file itself) or b) the target in question is under source management control. If "B", you would have to check out the Target object first.

Thanks for the reply Chris. I dont have either of those scenarios but I have found the issue I think. It has to do with me using 2 monitors (in extendable mode) and having PB open on both to compare code from different versions of the same app. I also moved the modal window between monitors.Then if I disconnect my laptop from the docking station and bring it to another location so that there is now only one monitor the issue occurs - so it seems PB is trying to open it on the secondary monitor and I cant see it (even a reboot didnt fix it). If I plug in the laptop to the workstation again I can see the window on the second monitor and can move it back to the Primary monitor. Strange one but worth mentioning in case someone else comes across it.

Rgds

John
