Resolved Cannot Open Any Datawindows

Dear Sir,

Whatever datawindows I try to open, powerbuilder auto closed. It works normally yesterday.

PB version: Appeon POwerBuilder Universal Edition Version 2017 R3 Build 1880.

OS version: Windows 10 Pro

Please help.

Try to remove the stored registry layout settings for the datawindow painter.

Sometimes Powerbuilder stores wrong values and it crashes if it tries to restore the layout from registry.

 

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sybase\PowerBuilder\17.0\Layout\Default]

delete key "DataWindow"

Although posted awhile ago, there has been no response, so wanted to comment.

I just had same issue and this solution worked perfectly. (PB2017-R2)

Thank You for post! Saved me a ton of time trying to resolve myself.
